Police & Fire

Arlington County Police Department responds to more than 80,000 calls for service each year.  Arlington County Police are organized into three districts plus a Special Operations Division.  The Clarendon Corridor is primarly patrolled by officers from the Second District, but a portion of our district falls within the First District.

Karen Herchenroder (703-228-4062) is the Police Commander of District One, and Andy Penn (703-228-4327) is the District Two Commander.

The Arlington County Police Department has been led since 2003 by Chief Doug Scott.

Arlington County Fire Department (ACFD) provides comprehensive fire,emergency medical, and allied public safety services in Arlington County.  With a staff of more than 300 trained professionals, ACFD holds a Class 2 rating from the Insurance Services Office (ISO), the highest rating given to a Virginia fire department, and one of only 3 such ratings awarded in the state. This rating lowers insurance rates to homeowners and businesses.

Station 4 serves the Clarendon Corridor.  It is located at 3121 10th Street North.  The non-emergency number for the station is 703-228-0104.

The Arlington County Fire Department has been led since 2004 by Chief James Schwartz.
