Don’t Miss the Clarendon-Courthouse Mardi Gras Parade!

2014_Mardi_Gras_Poster_FINALMarch 4th is Fat Tuesday, so that means the area’s largest Mardi Gras Parade once again returns to Clarendon!  This year’s Parade is the biggest ever!  We have bands, we have floats, we have marchers, we have fire trucks, we have costumes, we have throws–We’ve got it all this year!

The Parade starts at 8pm, and runs along Wilson Blvd from N. Barton to N. Irving Street.  This free, family-friendly event is “organized” by the Clarendon Alliance, but it’s all the local and regional groups who enjoy “letting the good times roll” that make it possible. Once again, our pals at Bayou Bakery are throwing their Bayou Gras Block Party in conjunction with the Parade, and be sure to look for the Bayou Bakery parade float, and the LSU constumed marchers mid-way through the parade.

The current list of parade participants is here, and if you can volunteer to assist the Clarendon Alliance on parade logistics on the day of the event, please register here.
