The Clarendon Alliance would like to thank all of our Mardi Gras Parade participants for making the 2013 parade the best one ever! Arlington Now and the Clarendon Patch both have posted terrific parade galleries. If you have parade photos you would like to share, please email them or put them in a Dropbox folder. We’ll post your images on our website.
For those of you who like to plan ahead, the Clarendon-Courthouse Mardi Gras Parade will be held on Fat Tuesday, March 4, 2014.
Tuesday, February 12 is the date for the 15th Annual Clarendon-Courthouse Mardi Gras Parade! 8 PM is the time. Our Mardi Gras parade is the largest in the DC area–last year, we had 50 organizations participate and we have room for more in 2013!
The Clarendon Courthouse Mardi Gras Parade is a family-friendly event, and it’s big fun. Thousands of local residents and visitors will line the parade route along Wilson Boulevard from North Barton Street to Washington Boulevard. Participating in the parade is a great way to have fun–participants can wear masks, dress completely inappropriately, and throw stuff at people. What’s not to like? (The business case is that participating in the parade is a wonderful and inexpensive way to showcase your group, business, musical talents or whatever to cheering throngs).
The pre-parade party will start, as it always does, at Bayou Bakery; this year, they are taking the party outside at 5 pm, so be sure to stop by for the fun.

We’re looking forward to seeing you on February 12! Laissez les bons temps rouler!
